Bess couldn’t have said it any better. After having read some of the reviews written in the newspapers, I was shocked. I took two friends who had never seen Barry perfomr (and it had been several years for myself). THEY came away totally AWESTRUCK. As for me, I never expected anything less than what I received . From the second he stepped on that stage I was in “SWEET HEAVEN” again; throughout the show He transported me back through time “over and over again”. When he sang “when can I touch you”, I was one of those fans that hollered “NOW” and was rewarded with his “I’ve still got it” as well as the lades in front of me turning and looking at me and saying ‘You go girl”, and then when he sang “when will this strong yearning end” - YEP, I did it agin with a resounding “NEVER” and this time got a loveley “THANK YOU” in response. I’m so glad I did that!!! When he did his final goodbye, I didn’t want to leave, but knew “Somewhere Down The Road” I’ll see him again. jane/florida
Helen, Reading and enjoying this interview totally moed me. It brought back to mind when Barry closed his show in Tampa, Florida with “Foreer and A Day”. So thankful that Enoch Anderson took the time to share with us. Makes it even harder to wait on “15 MINUTES” . And as to “when will this strong yearning end?” - ABSOLUTELY NEVER. Thanks to you and Enoch for all the lovely insight. Wishing you enough, jane turner/florida
Helen, I could close my eyes and be transported back into time. Just the visuals you present with your writing are more than enough to put you in the moment. Thanks, jane
Helen, Wonderful article. Kudos to Mark and all he does. Congrats on his celebrating 25 years of having fun and hope he has a blast tomorrow with Barry. jane
Helen,
Wonderfully said! jane

OOPS - HE DID IT AGAIN!!! So glad to have the chance to vote on this award. Thanks, jane/florida
WOW!!! Sounds like everyone had a great time!!! janeturner/florida
And may you enjoy your “special day” tonight at the PARIS. Hoping Enoch can be there so Barry can bring his words to life, UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL and Enoch can hear the applause live and in person. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ENOCH!!
Helen, A wonderful, from-the-heart review. Reading your words keeps one on the edge of their seat, secretly asking for more, please. Can’t wait for my next Barry show!! jane/florida
Helen, Manilow Day, Manilow Week, heck we on MMN have already proclaimed May as MANILOW MONTH!!!! Can’t wait to hear back from friends I got to meet while Barry was performing in Florida who will be in attendance. So looking forward to the reviews and pics. The interviews have been great (except for one - interviewer just didn’t have that Manilow Magical spark). jane/florida
Helen, Lovely words from Janet!! Thanks so much for sharing, jane/florida
Helen, What a precious moment you shared. Congrats the the mom and dad and best wishes for Hezekiah. LIFE IS GOOD!! jane
Great interview Scott and Helen!!!! Love you both!! jane/florida
Helen, Ordered extras from QVC, extra from starz.bz (even extras of the deluxe dition) and will purchase in the stores as well. Already have a mailing list; I hae become a regular at the post office in the last month. Sent out 17 copies of the siriusxm segment. Sent them to people who have already pre-ordered the cd; just wanted to have this as a keepsake. Thanks for all you do in promoting Barry’s music!!! jane turner
Oh, yes!!! Barry just seems to have foung that “Fountain of Youth”! He looks like he has just been rejuvinated!! So full of energy and fun. Watching him this past week has been most enjoyable! You go Barry!! Love to ride around town with the windows down playing his and Enoch’s new music. Had the fish “dancing on the water” in the Gulf of Mexico as the songs boomed through the speakers on the boat Memorial Day Weekend. People were dancing on the sandbar and asking “who’s that” and “great music”; and, of course, me - I had to brag ad tell them all about Barry - told them to be sure and get their copy on June 14!! They don’t want to miss out on a good thing. jane turner/florida
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BARRY!!! Hoping it’s your best ever and that all your wishes come true!! Hoping you can spend your day with friends and others close to your heart. We love you!! jane/florida
WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL!!!
Once again you have captivated me with your writing. Wishing the best to Christine during her crusade. What a very heart-warming and eye-opening story about this disease. And, yes, the music does do wonderful things. Thanks again!
Helen and Nick, Once again a great interview from the thought process to the actuality of the cd. Thanks again to the both of you!! jane
Helen, Yes, and research it we did. Actually found in in a publication out of Colorado. And I had saved everyone of those “puzzle” pieces to put in a fram along with the finished product. Haven’t decided what to title it. Hmmmmm; gonna have to think on that.jane
Heen,
Once again you tug at those heart strings of mine!! Wishing you ALWAYS the best in everything you set your mind on to do. The way you express your feelings with your words is truly an amazing thing; a gift from God. know He has great things in sote for you!! jane
Helen, BRAVO, BRAVO!! Found a statement years ago about birthdyas and it totally applies to you. “I love birthdays because you don’t have to do anything special to earn them, you are special and that’s reason enough to celebrate” (This was from a Holly Pond Hills card (some of my favorites). And, yes, when he does “Even Now” (And “WINE”) live, it is wonderful. Thanks for sharing your weekend with us. jane
Well slap me silly; I would never have guessed. LOL! But all you said was dead on; no matter where he does a show - his fans will go. Sometimes I sit and dream about him taking a year or however long it would take and do some shows an album at a time. I would love to see “15 MINUTES” done live from beginning to end. “SCORES”; “HATM” “2:00 AM PARADISE CAFE”. All the songs from each one done in one night. Yes, the “fancy smancy” stage sets are beautiful; but Barry doens’t need “dressing up”. Like in a great fashion show; he owns the runway!! jane
“Everything Is Gonna Be Alright”!!! I feel your sorrow. When I went in for my once every six months check-up last week my doc and I sat for 30 minutes talking about Barry’s music (I took him one of the new cds, of course). He knew that was what I played during my month in the hospital and 3 months in rehab - kept me going. Even though he “formally in writing” told us he wouldn’t be at PARIS after Dec. 11; I remembered he had announced it at a show a month or so ago; almost like he was preparing us. I was one of thos fortunate to receive 2 tickets through starz.bz and knowing I couldn’t go that far from home for right now 2 friends are using the tickets for the last one of his shows (one has been to PARIS, the other hasn’t). I will be so excited to hear about their trip as well as all those wonderful reviews you, and others, have been most gracious to share. I will always treasure my trip to see him while he was in Florida this year - got to meet lots of friends I had met online through him. As you said, he and his music have brought people together for lifelong friendships. And we will always “follow the man who followed his dream”!!! jane
Helen, You couldn’t have said it any better! jane
How inspiring. Don’t care for “chain letters”; but a “chain tree” - WOW!
Nice to know, too, that the marquee and stuff is going to be autioned off with all the proceeds going to the Manilow Music Project!!
Helen, What a marvelous idea. Let us know what to do!! jane
