A fans review of this months Manilow TV. Barry Manilow receives the Ella Awards in 2003!

I have to admit, I don’t subscribe to Manilow TV! There I said it and the truth feels good, but there are some good reasons. For one thing, I can’t justify adding another expense to my already tight budget. As much as I’d enjoy seeing videos from Barry’s vault remembering shows and events from days gone by. I’d rather put the spare funds toward a ticket, because if I need to choose, there’s nothing that compares to seeing a Manilow show live. More ›

15 Minutes: a truly remarkable album

Barry Manilow at Dress Circle

Last month Janet Fauret, my best friend, the one I call my “foreign correspondent” traveled from France to London to attend Barry Manilow’s “15 Minutes” album signing at the Dress Circle. Though she knew it wasn’t financially prudent, with a vacation to Las Vegas less than two weeks from the date - in fact she’s on a plane as I type this - it was one of the those “once in a lifetimes” she couldn’t talk herself into missing. She’s very happy for the choice she made. Thrilled to have had the chance to personally tell Barry how much she loves the album, and have a copy autographed, which I know she’ll treasure forever. He’s probably touched more lives than he’ll ever know. There are many tale of the effect he’s had–whether for a moment or a lifetime–but once in a while there’s a story that touches the heart and needs to be shared. More ›

A life long Barry Manilow fan shares a special moment!

One of the things I love about attending Barry Manilow’s shows - besides of course seeing Barry Manilow - is witnessing the profound joy and happiness he brings to so many people. Most with memories going back further in years than mine. To the early days of ‘Mandy’ when they and Barry were younger, just starting out on the road of life. Over the thirty-five plus years Barry has remained a constant for them and he has remained constant in his talent of creating exceptional music, inspiration and feeling to those who take the time to hear him, really hear with heart and ear. A Barry Manilow fan, winner of the BMIFC T-shirt contest shares her story about Atlantic City!

You know, my heart was telling me “Go for it”, but my head was saying, “Take care of business at home.”   If it weren’t for a Manilow Friend of mine that helped me change my mind, I would have missed out on yet another electrifying Manilow concert.   Despite the weekend that my friends and I will NEVER forget, I will never regret going.  So thank you, dear friend.  You know who you are.
