Since March 6th 2010 when Barry Manilow opened at the Paris Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas as resident headliner, (directly following his fabulous five year run headlining at the Las Vegas Hilton), I and several thousand others have shared our opinion that Barry is not only a phenomenal musician and performer with the best show in Las Vegas, but this show is one of his most ascetically beautiful, in it’s music, art and choreography..
The showroom ‘Le Theatre des Arts’ is a plush and gorgeous jewel box, reminiscent of the charm and sophistication of days gone by when live theater was a savor-able event appreciated with respect, not just something you did for the sake of doing.
In it’s splendor, it was and is the perfect setting for the elegant, sophisticated gentleman that is Barry Manilow.
The minds at “Broadway World.com” agree; as they’ve nominated Barry in the category of “Best Long Run Concert” and his showroom for “Best Theater” in their 2011 Las Vegas Awards! Since he only has five shows remaining before bidding ado to Paris and venturing into new opportunities, a win would be a wonderful send off and a great way of showing our appreciation in thanking him for the fabulous shows he’s gifted us with.
