Barry Manilow’s original album; “15 Minutes”, transformed to become a teacher’s lesson plan!

It is with great pride and excitement that I share with you the wonderful and unique experience of how Janet Fauret, a teacher in France, created a lesson plan based on Barry Manilow’s original album, “15 Minutes”. One Year Ago Today; An Interview with Lyricist Enoch Anderson

I knew lyricist, Enoch Anderson’s brilliant work via his collaborations with Barry Manilow over the years on many of his beautiful and thought provoking songs. In January 2011, as hints surfaced about “15 Minutes” the new, original album Barry Manilow was in the process of creating - his first in ten years - we learned that it was Mr. Anderson’s words being set to music and I was struck with the idea to interview him for this site. It seemed to me many people would be fascinated to learn about the man and the creation process of the album we were all looking forward to. More ›

Four months since the release of Barry Manilows album; “15 Minutes”; there’s still so much to hear!

I don’t follow trends, cave to peer pressure or like things without thought and reason. That’s the reason most people know I love chocolate, teddy bears, high heels, Johnny Walker Black - though I no longer drink it - formal clothes, Broadway shows, New York City, and the music of Barry Manilow! The 15 Minutes media frenzy reveals a renewed Barry Manilow!

With the release of 15 Minutes just days away, Barry Manilow has delightfully been everywhere—on the radio, in print, and on TV. With each interview, I’ve noticed a new Barry Manilow emerging. Of course he’s still the kind, humble, witty gentleman I admire, but there’s a new resurgence of dynamic energy I absolutely love! He seems to be happier, relaxed, and just having fun. It’s as if he’s shed a weight, giving him freedom to fly, in reintroducing the musician and composer in his heart—the drive that makes him come alive, the Barry Manilow many don’t know or appreciate.
